2x2 heavy wall will be fine for tranny xmember as far as offset bags on the bars I've done it Ekstensive does it but it is harder on your bushings the soulution is what infamous does and pocket your frame where your bag goes so that your bag sits centered on the bar

i dont see why u cant offset the bag for a 2 link? i dont uderstand how it would wear the bushing if the bar is mounted to the axle it shouldnt twist no matter where u put the bag right? ive done 2 links on s-10 and fullsizes and never seen the bushing wear out. if u have a link bar with bushings on each end (3link or 4 link) then u need to center the bag on the bar to keep the bushings from wearing out.< thats just my opinion, ive only had 2 links on my rides.

it isn't so much just the bag hanging off the bar and wearing bushings on this truck. if I offset the bag on the bar at a 2 to 1 ratio it will be closer to the tire than if recessed. im trying to run a 8in bag with 24s

what i would do is measure and find out how much lift i wanted.. the re8 extends to a max height of 10" measure to where u want the lift to be at and measure 10" to the frame from the bar..

OK CUZYOU SEEM TO BE DOING GOOD WORK BUT HERES THE THING THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK WILL NEVER SIT THAT LOW YOUR BED WILL HIT BEFORE YOUR BAG AIRS ALL THE WAY OUT AND WHEN YOU GET THE FRONT OF YOUR TRUCK DOWN ITS GOING TO BRING THE REAR OF YOUR FRAME UP SO LAID FLAT YOUR REAR BAGS WILL BE AT HALF LIFT OR CLOSE TO IT THATS WHY YOUR LINK BARS ARE SO HIGH UP RIGHT NOW IM ALL FOR RIDING LOW BUT AT THAT RATE YOU WILL NOT GET AN EVEN LIFT I KNOW PEOPLE ARE NOT RICH SO MY SUGGGESTION ON HOW TO FIX THIS UNTIL YOU GET THE FRONT STUFF IS EITHER GET YOUR TRUCK UP ON SOME STANDS AND GET A STRAIGHT EDGE AND FIGURE OUT WHEN THE BOTTOM OF THE TIRE IS EVEN WITHE THE FRAME AND SET UP YOUR MOUNTS THERE OR I HAVE EVEN PULLED THE FRONT WHEELS AND JUST SAT THE FRONT ON THE GROUND BUT UNLESS YO ARE RUNNING HUGE WHEELS YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THAT JUST MY 2 CENTS

the way it is set it is only laying a 31in tire. I got to looking at my other truck and I see the problem with not having room for the bag mounts. the dodge frame sits 6in lower infront of my notch than behind it instead of even like my silverado.

wtf you plan on running? super swampers? i would suggest doing what asshole#1 said. you should always work with the truck sitting level regardless what your doing. exstensive sets all their 2 links up to ride 3 inches off the ground and they work just fine with very minimal pinion angle change. i just installed one on a chevy to fix the pinion angle. it was worse with a flip kit and shackle than at any height with the 2 link. if your that concerned with the bags, run some sleeve bags behind the axle and be done with it.
