4.3 to 305 swap

i need to know will my 5 speed bolt up to a small block ive heard yes and no. and whats involved i know bout having to shorting my drive shaft but what else. any input would be helpful

it should, but you would be better off with an auto

id like to keep the 5 speed cuz in case of the crazy girl friend sickness she cant drive off

Yes it will work . are you going with a carb or trying to stay fuelinjected ? you wont have to shorten the driveshaft because you are only changing the motor the 305 bolts right in where the 4.3 sits .if you have any questions just give me a shout !

yep will bolt right up. just make sure you put a pilot shaft bushing in the crank of the 305 if it previously had an automatic behind it.

Crazy question Whats wrong with your 4.3L? I am thinking about getting a 4.3. If nothing is wrong with the 4.3 ... Would you think about selling it?

It has over 200k on the engine my od stoped workn at 200266 I wouldn't sell it to anyone at the mOment ask jeff it isn't the best running out there

I bought 2 blocks include heads intake and rotating assymblies no carbs no ac drives the heads on the Second block are spOken for as for the rest of it it's up for grabs there both 68-79 305 I have the numbers somewhere
