Well got a new project.. and want some ideas and some advice.

I have 2002 Extra cab GMC Sonoma.. I'm wanting to do some mild mods too it. I'm going to be tearing into my supercrew this winter and want to have something custom to drive and dont want to spend alot of time working on it. When I'm done with my supercrew, I'll probably end up selling this truck, so I don't want to spend alot of time or money in it, and I also want to leave the door open to as many people to buy it as possible. So here is what I was thinking about doing to it, let me know what you think, or if you have any bette Idea..

-Cowl hood
-Weld in roll pan
-Shaved tailgate
-billet (wire mess grille ?)
-sport mirrors
-20's wheels
-lower it
- repaint it factory red

Or should I just paint it and leave it alone...............

If it were me, I'd just leave it alone lol. My DD is a '06 CC Chevy 4x4, and I want to lift it, wheels, etc...but I know in the long run I would much rather put all of that into my actual custom.

yeah.. just dont know how long the supercrew is going to be down.. and i hate driving around in a stock truck..lol
I got some of the stuff laying around already, and I paint.. so I'm not really going to be out of much money.. just the wheels and a few small stuff, so it didnt seem like to bad of a deal. I needed to re-paint the truck any ways, its got a few scratches and dings, so just wanted to do it at the same time and get it over with.

I say go for it! but I'd probably skip the weld in roll pan, and the shaved tailgate.

do a bolt in roll pan, and maybe one of those locking handle covers for the tailgate handle, so you can paint it. that way everything is reversible so when you sell it, the door is totally open.
