i was looking at a hobart 140 2day.. has gas hookup and is 110 volt

Yes... 2x2x.25 wall for two link bars. The 220 hobart welders are the shit, but thats personal preference. When you do your two link, make sure you cut your stock spring pads off, and move them so your pinion angle is correct at ride height... lowering blocks make me sick, lol.

no no no no, just get an angle finder, and set the pinion at 0 at your right height. Set the axle on jack stands, and adjust the pinion angle with your jack. The blocks are used to space out the link bar if you dont have a good place to mount the bag. What vehicle is this app. for?

Pinion angle was the most confusing part to figure out for me and cost me some time and money but after hearing all of the thing like set it between 1-3 degrees mainly from everyone, i called a guy who does his own racing work and the way he figure it out was to pop the shield off spray some white paint and watch how the teeth meet up and make sure the paint comes all the way off so after understanding what he told me i said piss on that , it will take to long and all my shit is painted and sealed up. Then i called someone else that installs new driveshafts everyday for a living and fucks with suspension heights, he told me to simply match whatever your transmission shows. So if the transmission measures 86 deg. on your angle finder* measure where the driveshaft goes in* the rearend needs to be at 86 degrees the idea is to make an imaginary parrell line from reaerend to tranny and so that guy is they the guy i went with on the theory. good luck to ya now

No when i air it up and out i have clearence all the way around cause when i had my frame stripped i took my handy hammer and dolly on a stick and knocked the points where it was hitting back along with some minor cutting i forgot where and lil bit of grinding when i put the body on i will check it again if it hits ill fix it but it should not. Image

the only bad thing that i think might happen is a rock bounce up in their and eventually make its way getting wedged between the bag and frame but hell shit happens

that's cool but are u going to be riding with it all the way up all the time, cause when u was laidout at the show you didn't have any clearance, I've built a coupe dimes in my time and to avoid rubbing and blowing a bag you just cut the spring pocket out completely...just trying to help you out....after all you told me your frame was supose to inspire me :D

the guy who basically helped me build mine (this is my first also) told me it would be a HUGE mistake to not cut the pockets out until you can fit almost your whole hand around the bag when it's air OUT. because the sides go out the most then. and when you ride, when you hit bumps your bags expand OUT when they're compressed even more.

I totally think you should cut them out. it's better safe than sorry. and it's not like anyone can see it! so why not do it?

On all the ones Ive bagged Ive cut out the spring pocket. The only bags you can get away without doing that is the firestone 2400 which dont give enough lift.
