anytime ive ever mest trying to fix bag work i just cut the whole backhalf off and start fresh because u dont want to trust the welds if the shit aint square or look worth a shit. u fix all the little shit and then start measureing up the frame and check the measurements from side to side and its tweaked like a mutha and then you like fuck get the sawzall im starting over on your three days worth of work fixing the bag brackets and all the link bars and shit. so think long and hard before you start patching it. and make sure your going to be happy with the result

yeah i a back halfing it. kinda glad. i never did a back half befor. so i am determin to see what it looks like. we will see. hope to have the truck almost done by turkey drag. i mean everthing i can get done. glad i work at a shop where i have paint. i am going to pull every thing out and smooth it out and dip it in pink skulls LOL! but thats away away from now. just got the bed off getting my messurements on shit. thinking how i want to get this back half done. should i cut the frame right at the back of the cab or right at the leafspring pearchs? or in between. i am going to run at least 8-12inchs of 2x3 in the frame rail then bring it out about 4 inchs then make the i think 35 Degree angle up then another angle cut to kcik the rail stright back all the way to the rear. should i build all this on the ground for it will all be Square or build it on the truck?

it all depends on how much work you want to do its much cleaner look if its right even with cab but its also more work. the other guy on here from outkast kustoms did damn good job on his backhalf looked good if u use stock frame its hard to make it clean looking. the way your going to do the frame with 35 degree would work but make sure you gusset it at the connection of the tubing also you will have to stockfloor the bed but i prefer that over notch covers anyday. like they say anything can be fixed and i always like when people remember something for how bad it was before you got a hold of it.
