Street Trucks Magazine Goes Bankrupt

Dear friends, subscribers and loyal readers,

It's with a heavy heart that we as a company have to announce the days of Street Trucks Magazine have finally come to an end. The incredible venture that Steve, Courtney, Brian and Bob created has gone through many manifestations over the last few years and finally after many, many dilutions has ended with a staff that can not even hope to live up to the standards that once made Street Trucks Magazine a true enthusiast publication.

This scene is comprised of a brotherhood of builders that will not spend their hard earned money on a watered down source of billet grille installs, cheap unproductive buyer's guides and some of the worst writing in print history. What once was a great benchmark of this community has become a laughing stock in the truck scene and we must bow out now. Over the last year we have received stacks of envelopes and thousands of emails from readers like you who are disappointed and have stopped buying the magazine. Our advertisers have pulled out, refused to pay and because of that the magazine has become thinner than we thought possible.

We will be depleting the rest of our stories, features and content over the next few months, but officially, this is the last month of print for the magazine. Due to distribution and production contracts a very small amount of future issues will hit newsstands, but most of the material will be recycled and edited in a limited capacity.

Please continue to support the rest of our scene, attend as many shows as possible, build a truck that drops jaws, and continue buying the magazines that are still in touch with you, write compelling articles to you and still care about you. Evolution will always weed out the weak, but only you can continue to support the strong.

-The Street Trucks Staff

even though it got hacked, i still wouldn't have been surprised, alot of the magazines are having alot of trouble staying afloat right now with the economy in the shape it is in They are having a hard time keeping them going to print, cause the magazine business is not a Necessity on the list to get any part of a bailout and they are having to Rely on Ads in there magazines to stay afloat, So everyone that doesn't like the BIG AIM ads in one way should be thanking AIM for keeping your favorite page turners in print, i dont like it much either but they are keeping them going right now...i just hope they can continue without completely dieing off....
