Had it up for sale a few weeks ago, but after riding with Trent back from Houston in a stockfloored truck I was hooked. Decided to keep it and start the build. Starting with bagging it in time to drive to Camp N Drag. It was already dropped on 22s, with everything colored matched.

It's all my fault! lol. This is going to be awesome. I'll probably stop by at some point this weekend if you're going to be home.

Any time! I'll be working on it just about every day from now until Camp N Drag.

A little up date. I dropped the rear end off at Texas Chassis Works for them to narrow it last Friday. Getting it narrowed 7 inches. That will give me the option of running a deeper dish later when I upgrade wheels. He is going to have it ready by the end of the week. Last night I got my notches in, and today picked up some more metal to build my two link with.

You weren't kidding about all the countour in the frame! I should (crossing my fingers) be able to knock out the last minute stuff on my truck and will come down and help you get it ready for Camp N Drag. I'm ready to get started on the sheetmetal stuff!

I got the tank, compressors, valves mounted last night, and two more filler pieces on the notch.

Everything is looking real clean and simple. I think when I have to replace my valves, I'm going to move them back closer to the tank. Is there any way you can mount the compressors right side up, or even sideways? Even though they are oil less, upside down will fry them eventually, if you care lol. That's what happened to my first compressor back in the day.

This is from Viair's website.

Q: Is it possible to mount VIAIR compressors sideways, or must it be mounted with the cylinder upright?
A: You can mount in any direction or position since VIAIR compressors are oil-less. The only position we do not recommend is an upside-down mount, since heat tends to travel upward, and does not dissipate well in the motor housing. A sideways mounting may reduce the life of the piston seal, since everything is governed by gravity and has a weight associated with it.

yea see i always heard that too mounting upside down wasnt good, i heard sideways wasnt great either though, but thats why i try to mount them upright, but i know a million trucks with them upside down also..

Yeah, I'm pretty sure if they don't constantly run, they should be okay. But if they run a lot, could be a bad deal..

I'll look into swapping the compressors but don't know, it would be a lot more work to change them, and no more then i hit switches they wont be running long.

Yeah, I know you aren't switch happy. I started thinking about that after I posted haha. Ride height will be 1" off the ground, so you don't need much air anyway! lol
