 Post subject: Well I think I know why the truck is not shifting

Right befor the pipe comes together for the muffler there is a crack in the pipe so I need to get a book and see if the sencer that's about 2-3 ins from that crack is the shift senser and I'll know for shure

Get on it!!! If you don't know by tomorrow night LET ME KNOW!! I'm running my truck up to the dealership Thursday morning so they can turn the rotors and check my brakes before Scrapin, if you don't know by then i can ask them while I'm up there.

a shift sensor in the exhaust?


isn't that just the O2 sensor?

yep I think that's what's help it shit cuz when I drug thu my exhaust the last time they didn't belive that it's was still shifting so I'm going to go by and talk to some people when I get off and show them the picks I took I'll jeff or larry would post up the pis for me that would be grate

never heard that a bad 02 sensor makes a tranny not shift

They said that if there is not enough back psi then it would not shift

The frist pic is my drive shaft out of the tranny link bars or to long



And the next one is the crack In my pipe right befor they come together didn't sees anything eles that was not plugsd in to the tranny for it not to shift right so now I need to get that fixed and get my roll pan fixed and I might be able to drive it again


I hope but still for sale

So you just need to extend your drive shaft. Longview drive shaft is fairly priced. Ive had them extend a few for me.

also a bad speed sensor would cause that shit to not shift i am asuming it is a newer chevy. and a automatic it uses the speed sensor to determan the shift points with out it no shifty shifty but not enought back pressure is bs.
